Future Photog

Addy's been carrying around this set of play keys and using it as a camera lately. We gave her an old film camera this morning and she played with it all the way to school, saying 'Cheese' the whole way. Perhaps we have a future National Geographic photographer on our hands or maybe the next Anne Geddes.

Cherry Blossoms

DC is really beautiful in the spring. The day after we got back from London went down to see the Cherry Blossoms around the Tidal Basin with JuJu. Although it was really crowded, it was a beautiful day!

Kelly got bored...

Visit with our Maryland Peeps

Rocket and JuJu were very nice to watch Addy while we jumped across the pond. After our trip, we came back to DC for a few days and Easter.

First things first! We got to meet our new niece/cousin!
Louisa Theo Fix, born on March 18th. She is such a cute tiny thing!

London

We had a fabulous time with Zuni in London. I'm going to try to only post a few pictures (we took a million). These are only from one camera so there are some things missing.
Day 1
Kelly in front of the British Museum. Fascinating stuff inside, including the Rosetta Stone.

We couldn't take any pictures in here but I highly suggest a visit to the British Library. Original handwritten documents of people like Shakespeare,Da Vinci, and Handel. The Magna Carta, a Gutenberg Bible and the original copy of Alice in Wonderland were some of the highlights.

Kelly and Zuni in front of her church, St. Helen's. FABULOUS service!

Kelly's favorite meal. Meat pie with mushy peas and mash!

Day 2 -
In front of the Queen's pad.

Changing of the guard

We also did a bus tour and Westminister Abbey this day. Here are a few pictures from the bus tour. No pictures were allowed in Westminister but its a fascinating place.

Day 3 -
We spent ALL Day in the Tower of London. Seriously we spent about 8 hours there. But we started the day with breakfast at Paul right next to the Tower.

Our very funny Yeoman Warder tour guide. I'm fascinated by the fact that these guys live in the Tower with their families. They're locked in every night at 10pm but its like a little village. They even have their own post office and pub!

Susanna's Lady Jane Grey impression (not really but I thought it was a cool picture)

Day 4 -
We started our day with a visit to St. Paul's. This included a walk (hike) to the top of of the dome. This was both exhausting and FREEZING cold!

Tea at the Wallace Collection

Kelly tries on some armor.

We finished this day with a show. We saw Oliver! Since I played Oliver in 4th grade, I was especially thrilled we got to see this show. It was a great ending to a fabulous trip.
Zuni outside the theater. The Royal Drury is the oldest theater in England. There's been a theater here since something crazy, like the 1600s.

Wish we could have stayed longer. London was one of my favorite places I've travelled and I hope we can go back soon!

P.S. These pictures are only from one camera, so I know there will be another poast about London.
