More of Addy

Not mentioned in the previous post is that we are calling her Addy. She is doing very well and on a pretty regular schedule of eating, sleeping and pooping every 2-3 hours. Unfortunately, she does have a "screaming hour" at about 1am every night, not sure what that's about yet. The blanket in this picture was mine when I was a baby.

She does have eyes, we just don't see them very often. Too soon to tell, but they might be blue. She definitely has the coloring of her daddy so far.

She doesn't seem to like to lie flat so for the last few days and nights, she's been sleeping in her carseat (thank you fellow Cordis workers!). Flowers courtesy of Wendy and Clayton. Thank you!

Adele Smith Barnett

Adele Smith Barnett arrived on September 18, 2008 at 1:16am. She was 8 lbs and 22 in. Adele was Kelly's grandmother's name and Smith is my mom's maiden name.
I had contractions pretty much all day but they didn't start getting strong until 6:30 pm. We went to the hospital at 9:30 pm so labor and delivery was pretty quick. Kelly says she takes after her mom, early (due date was Sept. 20th) and on a mission.

We had a somewhat relaxing stay at the hospital. We loved having Wendy and Clayton, Kate (Bethany's friend from work), Worth (our pastor) and Nana and Poppy (Kelly's parents) visit us in the hospital.

We came home on Saturday. She's obviously a football fan since she came so that we were able to get home in time to watch the Gator - Tennessee game.

Going home outfit and decorations courtesy of Nana and Poppy.

Nursery

Last weekend we finally got the nursery together. Here's a "before" video:

After pictures

The baby's monogram or name will go in the big pink circle. We're not going to name her until we meet her so right now its empty!
A picture frame with pictures of our family members is going in the blank spot on this wall.

Lobstering in the Keys

This year, we went for mini lobster season, which is two days that recreational fishermen can lobster before the commercial traps are set. Its absolutely insane. We got up at 5am (in the dark) and headed out to a spot we had scouted out the day before. We sat there in the dark until the sun came up. There were boats EVERYWHERE. Quite a site to see. We did AMAZINGLY well and caught 52 lobsters in the 2 days.

July 2008 Keys Trip

In July we went to the Keys with Derek, Heather, Charlotte and Gill Fritz. We have really enjoyed going down to Derek's grandmother's home down there for the past few years. This year we went for a week in July including lobster mini season. We had a lot of luck fishing and lobstering (pictures in 2nd entry).

Beached whale. Heather was pregnant too but she refuses to let me post pictures of her. :-)

Parrotheads at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant in Key West

Kelly and Derek had a good day fishing without the girls or kids. Here are the dolphin they caught that morning.

Kelly speared his first hogfish, something he's been wanting to do for a long time.

These last two pictures are from our trip on Memorial Day weekend but I think they're so cute, I had to include them.

Five years!

Like I said, these are all SUPER out of order, I'm trying to become more vigilant in blogging. In June, Kelly and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. We went to the Ritz Carlton in Naples for the weekend. We got a great deal on the room and then we were upgraded to this beautiful suite when we got there.

Here's the view from our room.

I enjoyed some spa time while Kelly played golf. He said it was one of the hardest courses he's ever played. That evening we had a very nice dinner at one of the restaurants in the hotel. The service was impeccable! Kelly ordered the flowers in this picture for our table. It was a great quick getaway and relaxation time before the baby.
