Mother's Day at GDS

Addy's class had a mothers day lunch. Its always one of my favorite days of the year. Each kid made their mom a picture frame. During the lunch she and her friend William, made me this "flower". My sweet girl!

Easter!

Happy Easter 2011! He is risen! We started out our day with an egg hunt and breakfast at church, followed by church service, quickly followed by naps, and rounding up the day with a really good Easter dinner at home. We hope you all enjoyed your celebrations!

Big Girl Room

Last weekend, we changed our guest room into Addy's big girl room!

Spring Program

This year's program was entitled "Pirates of the Scriptures." However, I think Addy's outfit looked more like "Gangs of the Scriptures"

The 1 and 2 year old classes were later in the program, and thus after nap time. It started out well.

Uh oh...she's starting to glaze over.

And so it ends. Better luck next year.

First Haircut!!!

Addy's hair was getting a bit out of control

So we finally decided to bite the bullet and take her for her first haircut!
Daddy helped with positioning the head during the vital "bang cutting" portion of the haircut.

We brought along a friendly bear and the stylist let her hold some of her tools to make her more at ease.

Complete freakout when the hair dryer came out.

But in the end, I think she liked the whole experience!

Skipping Holidays

Ok, I'm very far behind. Obviously. So I'm skipping pictures of Christmas and Thanksgiving. We spent Thanksgiving at a great cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains with the Brockman side and we spent Christmas in Jacksonville with the Barnett side. We went to Christmas Eve service with Shawn's family and then had Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at his house with his family and Nana and Poppy. It was a great Holiday season but I'm too far behind to try and post those pictures (maybe I'll do some catch ups later). So moving on.....

Leaves!

Addy and I went up to DC before Thanksgiving to hang out with my family and to celebrate Rocket's 60th Birthday! Rocket introduced Addy to fall leaves.

Punkies

Our Halloween pretty much revolved around "Punkies". At the end of the harvest program, they said we could take one home.
Still pleased with her selection. Sketching the face with Daddy Kelly wisely carved the pumpkin during naptime. She was pretty pleased with the result (bells and all). Happy Halloween (very belated)!

GDS Fall Program

Addy's first school program was the Fall Harvest program. She's such a ham, we thought for sure she'd take right too it. Um, not so much.....

Two years old!

Its so hard to believe that she's two years old already! That has to be the fastest 2 years ever! She is quite the talker these days. I'll try to get a video to post. Here are a few more pictures from her birthday weekend!

Birthday #2

On Addy's actual birthday, we had a Pooh themed extravaganza! (Sorta, we invited a bunch of adults over to watch the Gator game and threw in some cupcakes, gifts and singing) The adorable cupcakes were made by a co-worker in my office who does great work (she also did the ones for Birthday #1)Katherine came by to join in the festivities. Drew and Addy had a jam session. Woah! The wagon is a gift from Mommy and Daddy

I think she looked like the local homecoming queen, waving to all the kids in the neighborhood.
